Join master perfumers from Atelier Madrona and craft your own perfume and linen spray. Coordinated in 3 sessions at 6pm, 6:30pm, and 7pm, you'll learn how to structure a scent and leave with you very own creation. Sign up for either the Fine Fragrance or Linen Spray Workshops, or both!
Fine Fragrance Workshop Description
During a short, interactive session, guests will get a peek into the mysterious world of fragrance. They’ll learn about head, heart, and base notes – and how to structure a scent. The workshop is a unique experience and provides a special sense of discovery participating in the creation of a fragrance.
Learn the vocabulary of olfactive families and primary facets.
Discover the structures, formulations and concentrations of perfume.
Design and create a simple fragrance based on new knowledge.
Leave with a 5ml bottle of their individual creation.
Linen Spray Workshop Description
During a short, interactive session, guests will have the opportunity to evaluate and select from a variety of essential oils and blend them into a linen spray. They’ll be guided through blending, preserving and diluting the oils into an aromatherapeutic linen spray.
Learn the aromatherapeutic benefits of specific essential oils.
Design and create a simple linen spray based on new knowledge.
Leave with a 30ml spray bottle of their individual creation.

We all know we’re dying—it’s just that Jan Campbell can better predict when it’ll happen to her. In fact, she’s already had her funeral and prearranged her end of life matters with Recompose—the Seattle-based pioneers of an environmental form of deathcare known as human composting. After receiving a diagnosis of stage 4B ovarian cancer in March of 2020, Jan deepened her sense of humor, purpose, and spirituality. Now she’s on a mission to share what it’s like to look death in the face and smile.
Join Jan and Laura Sullivan Cassidy (end of life doula and outreach lead at Recompose) for an interactive, conversational exploration of death awareness and life awareness. Afterall, you can’t have one without the other.
